A number of people have been voicing the suggestion that we should integrate Mare Nostrum into Red Orchestra in order to ensure its survival. With the successful release of Carpathian Crosses this has only intensified and so we would like to make a statement, so we can draw a line under the topic.

We would agree that in its current state, there are valid arguments for integrating Mare Nostrum with Red Orchestra. However, the current state of Mare Nostrum does not reflect what we have planned or hope to achieve. Carpathian Crosses fits very neatly into Red Orchestra and it was a wise decision to integrate it, but Mare Nostrum takes place on a totally different theatre with its own atmosphere and battlegrounds. We want to make Mare Nostrum a game within its own right, not a content add-on as it is in its current state.

The route we have taken with our own launcher has been tried and tested by almost every mod before us. After all if you use the Steam server browser you can see all of the Red Orchestra and Mare Nostrum servers in one place! So for now we would like to officially state that we have no intention to integrate Mare Nostrum with Red Orchestra, and instead we plan to build a player base through creating new and exciting content and regular releases. So we'd like to thank our community for their continued support and ask that they bear with us as we work to build this mod into something special.
